Well where do i start ………………….. 5am?? yeah 5am Sunday morning my alarm goes and its time to get up. Get all my camera gear together and load it in to my Evo. Setting off out of Aberdeen I grabed some fuel then it was non stop to Edinburgh. The reason for waking up at this ungodly hour?? The MLR Sprint Series ………………..
Had the pleasure of being able to take photo’s of Martin Willox’s new car today. He is a well known person around the North East of Scotland for his driving ability and also having some of the nicest cars to grace the roads around here. Having previously owned an Evo X he couldnt bear to rip it apart for next years Sprint/Trackday season so bought this Evo VIII instead.
The car is super clean and has some serious parts on it! The icing on the cake is that the engine was built by Norris Designs, if you need to ask, you really shouldn’t be allowed to know lol. Pushing roughly over 600bhp im sure you will agree it’s a beats in disguise!
Another weekend , another car event haha. This time it was the Boyndie sprint, for those who dont know Boyndie is a karting circuit north of Banff in aberdeenshire, built on an old aerodrome it is a seriously tight circuit with lots of slow to medium corners.
Once again alot of serious cars were out, Tony Elrick in his Evo 6 was a particularly impressive driver, breaking the class record! awesome. Also shouts out to Eck Holmes,Jim Gray and Martin Willox driving and Evo 6,Evo 8 and Evo 10 respectivly they drove extremely well
Got invited along to an MLR event for a worth while cause, The rrraayllee Day show came about after a young lad named Stuart Harper died in a car accident as a passenger, Stuart was extremly passionate about cars ( as i am) and his family thought of what better way to celebrate his life but to have a car show.
It was an excellent event with around 60-80 cars attending, most of the usual clubs were there, a little different though was the added Dog show and summer fete type stalls which was a nice touch.
The money raised from the event will be used to pay Skid car scotland to visit schools along with the Advanced motorist group to teach 15-18 year olds about the dangers of speed.
A worthy cause ill think u will agree, anyway time for the pics which are EVo heavy lol
